Abstract

The electricity supply industry has experienced many changes in many countries with the separation of the components of the power system in each sector, namely; generation, transmission and distribution. Electricity supply model is very important in the electricity industry that continues to develop. Some of the models that have been developed include, the single buyer model, monopoly, bilateral to the market competition model which is highly dependent on government regulations and the business of the electric power industry. Based on the model developed by several countries, it was found that developed countries such as; Europe, Japan and the USA, have used combined models such as the single buyer model and competition. While developing countries still apply the pattern of single buyers.
