Abstract

Nationally, the province of South Sulawesi is a national chicken production center, especially in Gowa Regency. This research will be designed to build a low-power hatchery machine that can be utilized by smallholder farmers in the Gowa Regency area. The egg hatching machine is basically a box which has an artificial heat temperature, and that heat temperature can be maintained in the hatching machine as needed. where the incubator is set at a temperature of around 39- 40 oC. Temperature and humidity are controlled through an automatic rotating rack system that can improve the quality and efficiency of egg hatching. By using a 10 watt lamp, the optimal temperature of the hatching chamber (inside the machine) can be maintained between 37.5 - 39 ° C.
