Abstract

At present electricity has become a major need for people both in urban and rural areas. Along with the rapid increase in public demand for electricity and limited energy resources, PT PLN (Persero) is required to make efficiency, as well as maintain the quality or quality of the products produced to improve the company's image in the eyes of customers in this case is to reduce losses and maintain the quality of the voltage channeled to consumers. On the distribution side, PT. PLN (Persero) Low Voltage Network is one of the biggest contributors to Losses. Many factors cause the Low Voltage Network (JTR) side to become extremely vulnerable to losses, such as overloading, loads that are very far away so that it uses a long conductor, and the conductor size is not appropriate. The MapInfo application used at PT PLN (Persero) Rayon Hasanuddin Watampone Area is an application that can calculate the energy shrinkage value in the Low Voltage Network of the distribution substation by comparing the data kwh meter appeal in the Distribution Substation with data on the kWh meter usage of the customer. By using the results of these calculations can be compared with the calculation data using the shrinkage calculation formula in accordance with the characteristics and configurations and characteristics of the Low Voltage Network (JTR) installed on the Distribution Station. This case study produces data on the comparison of energy shrinkage values obtained based on data from MapInfo and energy shrinkage values with a formula approach based on characteristics and network configuration
